Social Play and Group Bookings

Got a regular group? A recurring weekly booking locks in the same court and time each week, the simplest way to keep a social game going. Nets and posts are set up by staff when you book, so tell the team it's for volleyball and the court is ready when you arrive.

COMPETITIONS AND PROGRAMS

Westside Volleyball

Westside Volleyball runs its development and competitive programs at the stadium, taking players from first serve through to representative pathways. Registration and fees are handled by the club directly.

Westside Volleyball runs junior and senior competitions and development programs here through the week, including:

Junior development (ages 8 to 14) - A beginner-friendly program introducing volleyball fundamentals in a fun, supportive environment.
Intermediate and competitive (ages 14 to 18) - Competitive league pathways for squads formally representing the club.
Senior competition - Focused on regional tournaments, tactical systems and physical preparation.
Premier League and SVL - High-performance pathways with advanced training and elite tournament exposure.

Social Sport

Social volleyball competition

Thursday night social volleyball, run by the centre across summer and winter seasons. Structured, enjoyable indoor volleyball for teams and individual players, with end-of-season prizes for winning teams.

Summer 2026/2027 season:

Dates. Starts Thursday 15 October 2026. Semi-finals Thursday 11 March 2027, grand final Thursday 18 March 2027.
Structure. Two divisions with a minimum of four teams each. 18 rounds including four trial matches, then semi-finals and grand finals.
Match times and holiday break. Games run between 6:00pm and 9:00pm with a match every 45 minutes [CONFIRM times]. No matches from 24 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, resuming 14 January 2027.
Fees and teams. $82 per game, bye rounds not charged, plus $37 player registration. Teams need a minimum of six players, ten recommended. Matching colour shirts and non-marking court shoes.

Register your team or join as an individual through Gamz Connect. Forfeits must be notified at least 48 hours ahead to avoid penalties. Competition terms and by-laws are on the BlueFit website.

Volleyball FAQs

Do I need to be a member to play ?
No. Westside Volleyball and the BlueFit social competition both have their own registration, and courts can be hired by anyone.
How do I join a competition or program ?
Registration for Westside Volleyball is through their website. For the BlueFit social competition, enquire at reception or call the centre.
Where do I find fixtures and results ?
Westside Volleyball publishes all fixtures, game times and ladders through its own site and platforms.
What should I bring ?
Non-marking court shoes and a water bottle. Balls can be hired at reception for $2.50.
